Our "Little Shop of Beads" is a new development, beginning in January 2008. Looking for suppliers, we found some great bargains for unusual beads in China and the Philippines. Next, in Ghana, we were lucky to obtain new varieties of brass beads made with the lost wax process, which is familiar to African bead lovers.
Our Tibetan jewelry supplier, who has silver jewelry made by Tibetan refugees in Nepal, has sent us pendants, especially using a lot of turquoise, coral and rubies. Finally, we were able to locate some stunning high-end silver beads, both old and new, made in Afghanistan. Please look for the results of our trips this year to Russia and Turkey.
