"Music for the Eyes" celebrates different peoples, and the knowledge that they are, in fact, just like us. We want our shop to be an "Intolerance-Free-Zone!"
The photographs of people in our picture gallery and on our website were mostly taken by Sharon Lundahl during our career as diplomats or now on overseas adventures. We hope to add a few taken by Prokudin Gorskii, photographer to the Russian Tsar (1863-1944) in Central Asia. For more of those, please visit www.loc.gov/exhibits/empire/ .
Our pictures include many people from Central Asia (the "stans" in the former Soviet Union) and Africa, as we spent significant time in our diplomatic career in those areas. We want to bring new photos to this gallery from our future travel adventures.
